Hello friends!!

Here is your answer :
9 {(x + 1)}^{2}  + 5 = 149

Using identity : ( a + b) = a² + b² + 2ab

9( {x}^{2}  + 2x + 1) + 5 = 149

9 {x}^{2}  + 18x + 9 + 5 = 149

9 {x}^{2}  + 18x + 14 = 149

9 {x}^{2}  + 18 = 149 - 14

9 {x}^{2}  + 18x = 135

9 {x}^{2}  = 135 - 18x

 {x}^{2}  =  \frac{135 - 18x}{9}

x =  \sqrt{ \frac{135 - 18x}{9} }

Hope it helps you ... ☺️☺️
