Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

9cos²x+4sin²x=5

4cos²x+4sin²x + 5cos²x = 5

4(cos²x + sin²x) + 5cos²x = 5

5cos²x = 1

cos²x = 1/5

sin²x = 4/5  [1-cos²x]

tan x = 2 , -2

Solution :-

9Cos²x + 4Sin²x = 5

5Cos²x + 4(Cos²x + 4Sin²x) = 5

5Cos²x + 4 = 5

5Cos²x = 1

Cos²x = 1/5

Cosx = 1/√5

then , Secx = 1/Cosx = √5

Therefore ,

Now , tanx = √(Sec²x - 1)

tanx = √(√5)² - 1

tanx = √(5 - 1)

tanx = √4

tanx = 2
