Coastal landforms are created by waves and include stacks, stumps, caves, arches, bays, coves, beaches and cliffs. Cliffs are vertical or near-vertical walls of rock along a coast.

Answer:

"• Sea Cliff – Sea waves mostly comes in contact with the lower part of the coastal rocks and thus causing erosion of the lower part of the rocks, leaving the upper part intact. Over a period of time when this continues, a hollow formation takes place. Continuation of this process leaves the upper part to become large and stars protruding towards the river. With its weight, this protruding part falls into the river, and we are left with a large wall which is also known as a cliff.

• Sea Caves – Continuous interaction with the waves, causes the erosion of the lower part. Even the air present in the hollow gets compressed, and when the air comes out, it expands. Because of this compression of air in the hollow, the rocks are under great pressure, they break. This process results in the formation of caves.

• Sea Arches: Sometimes the part of the coast extends into the sea, the sea waves cut these coasts leading to the formation of a narrow hole, but over a period of time it enlarges unto large arches which are also known as sea arches.

• Sea Stacks-  When the arch gets broken because of its weight, it falls into the water leaving a small solitary mass left over the sea. These sometimes also form an island, but these are temporary and are also known as stumps.
