From the diagram we can clearly see <PRQ=90°

Bcoz, 22°+58°=90°

And they're complementary angles, so <PRQ=90°

And, the sum of all angles of a triangle is 180°

so, x+y=90°

As <PRQ and <AQR are corresponding angles

22°+90°+20°+y=180°

y=48°

and, x+y=90°

x=42°
