Here's your answer

By opening the brackets in RHS,

this equation can be simplified as:

9x + 5 = 4x - 8 + 8
by cancelling-8 and + 8,

we are left with 4x in RHS

so,

9x + 5 = 4x

9x - 4x =  - 5

5x =  - 5

x =  \frac{ - 5}{5}
x = -1

Hence ,
the value of x is -1
