hello my friend

Equation at the end of step 1 :

((9 • (x4)) - 3x2) + 1

Step 2 :

Equation at the end of step 2 :

(32x4 - 3x2) + 1

Step 3 :

Trying to factor by splitting the middle term

3.1 Factoring 9x4-3x2+1

The first term is, 9x4 its coefficient is 9 .

The middle term is, -3x2 its coefficient is -3 .

The last term, "the constant", is +1

Step-1 : Multiply the coefficient of the first term by the constant 9 • 1 = 9

Step-2 : Find two factors of 9 whose sum equals the coefficient of the middle term, which is -3 .

-9 + -1 = -10

-3 + -3 = -6

-1 + -9 = -10

1 + 9 = 10

3 + 3 = 6

9 + 1 = 10

Observation : No two such factors can be found !!

Conclusion : Trinomial can not be factored

Final result :

9x4 - 3x2 + 1
