Percentage composition of the compound by weigt  = grams of element / grams of compound*100

1.        If mass of element =0.96 & Mass of compound =0.24

Then percentage composition of the compound = 0.096/0.24*100= 40%

2.        If mass of element =0.144 & Mass of compound =0.24

Then percentage composition of the compound = 0.144/0.24*100= 60%

☺ Hello mate__ ❤

◾◾here is your answer.

Mass of boron = 0.096g

Mass of oxygen = 0.144g

Mass of sample = 0.24g

Thus, percentage of boron by weight in the compound =( 0.0960 × 100)/0.24 = 40%

Thus, percentage of oxygen by weight in the compound = (0.144× 100)/ 0.24 = 60 %
