ANSWER

Focal length of convex lens,  f=8 cm

Object distance,  u=−12 cm

Using lens formula    v1−u1=f1

where v is the image distance.

∴  v1−−121=81

⟹ v=+24 cm

(+ve sign indicates that image is formed behind the lens)

So, image is formed at a distance 24 cm behind the convex lens.
