Solve it from the first force.

F=ma,F/a=m

that is m=100/1=100kg.

When we solve it by 250N this is not the answer also it is not in option. So 100 is right.

If 250 N acts on the body its acceleration will be 2.50m/s^2 not 3

250/x=100,so x=2.5
