A 100 w electric bulb is lighted for 2 hrs daily and four 40w bulbs are lighted for 4 hrs daily .calculate the energy consumed(in Kwh)in 30 days  Answer: Energy consumed by electric bulb = power of the bulb ⨯ Time   Energy consumed by electric bulb of 100 w = 100 w ⨯  30 ⨯ 2 hrs  Energy consumed by electric bulb of 100 w = 3000 watt-Hour   Energy consumed by electric bulb of 100 w = 3 kilo watt-Hour     Energy consumed by four bulbs each of 40 w = Number of the bulbs ⨯ power of each bulb ⨯ Time   Energy consumed by four bulbs each of 40 w = 4 ⨯ 40 w ⨯ 4 hrs ⨯30  Energy consumed by four bulbs each of 40 w = 19200 watt - Hour Energy consumed by four bulbs each of 40 w = 19.2 kilowatt – Hour Total energy consumed = Energy consumed by electric bulb of 100 w + Energy consumed by four bulbs each of 40 w     Total energy consumed = 3 kilo watt-Hour + 19.2 kilowatt – Hour Total energy consumed = 22.2 kilo watt-Hour
