LENGTH OF VERTICAL POLE = 10 m 50 cm or 10.5 m.

SHADOW OF VERTICAL POLE = 6 m.

LENGTH OF ANOTHER VERTICAL POLE = ? (x).

SHADOW OF THIS VERTICAL POLE = 5 m 60 cm or 5.6 m.

THEREFORE, THEY ARE DIRECTLY PROPORTIONAL.

SO,

\frac{10.5}{6} = \frac{x}{5.6}

x = \frac{10.5}{6} × 5.6

x = 9.8 m

THE LENGTH OF ANOTHER SHADOW POLE WILL BE 9.8 m..
