A 10N force acting on a body at rest gives it a velocity of 20ms-1 in 2.5s. Calculate mass of the body.​

Given -

f (Force) = 10N

u (initial velocity) = 0

v (final velocity) = 20m/s

t = 2.5 sec

To find -

m (mass) = ?

SOLUTION-

we know the formula,

a (acceleration) =

= final velocity - initial velocity /time

= v-u / t

= 20-0/2.5

= 8m/s

now,

using the formula -

f = m×a

m = f/a

m = 10/8

m = 5/4

m = 1.25 kg ------- ANSWER
