A 115 m long and 64 m broad lawn has two roads at right angles , one 2 m wide , running parallel to its length , and the other 2.5 m wide , running parallel to its breadth . find the cost of gravelling the roads at ₹ 60 per m square.

The Length of Road ║ to length is 115m and width 2m
So Area of Road ║ to Length =115*2=230m²
The Length of Road ║ to Breath is 64m and width 2.5m
So the Area of Road ║ to breath =64*2.5=160m²
But as you can observe the area common to both roads is Taken Twice
So The area of Common Road = 2*2.5=5m²
So the Area of Road that need Gravelling =230+160-5=385m²
The Price for Gravelling =385 * 60 = 23100 rupees
