Solution :

19.2 L volume is occupied by 12 gm of a gas at STP

We know, At STP, 1 gram-mole of any gas occupies a volume of 22.4 L

22.4 L volume will be occupied by \frac{12}{19.2}  * 22.4 gm of the gas at STP

                                                        = 14 gm of the gas at STP

Hence, the average molecular mass of the sample of gas is 14 g/mol.
