 Given \: Total \: length \:of \:the \:rod = 12.5\:m

/* According to the problem given */

If long rod cut into some equal pieces of length 0.25 m.

 i )  length \:of \:equal \: small \:piece = 0.25 \:m

 Let \: number \: equal \: pieces = n

 n = \frac{ Total \: length \:of \: the \:rod}{length \:each \:small \:piece }

 = \frac{12.5}{0.25}

 = 50

 \therefore \red{ Number \: small \: pieces } \green { = 50}

 ii)  length \:of \:equal \: small \:piece = 0.5 \:m

  number \: equal \: pieces = 35

 \blue{Total \: length \:of \: the \:rod}

 = length \:each \:small \:piece \times number \: of \: pieces

 = 0.5 \: m \times 35

 = 17.5 \:m

 \therefore \red{  Total \: length \:of \: the \:rod} \green { = 17.5 \:m }
