A 12N force when applied on a body produces an acceleration of 4m/s².the force required to give this body and acceleration of 10m/s² is -

\huge\underline{\underline{\bf \orange{Solution-}}}

\large\underline{\underline{\sf Given:}}

  • Force {\sf F_1} = 12N
  • Acceleration {\sf a_1}=4m/s²
  • Acceleration {\sf a_2}=10m/s²

According of Newton's Second Law Of Motion

\large{\boxed{\bf \blue{Force=ma} }}

\implies{\bf F_1=m×a_1 }

\implies{\sf 12=m×4 }

\implies{\sf  \pink{m=5\:m/s^2}}

\implies{\bf F_2=m×a_2 }

\implies{\sf F_2=5×10}

\implies{\bf \red{Force (F_2)=50N }}

Force required to give this body and acceleration of 10m/s² is {\bf \red{50N}}.

 \huge \fcolorbox{red}{pink}{Solution :)}

Given ,

  • When 12 n force applied on a body it produces an acceleration of 4 m/s²

We know that ,

 \large \mathtt{ \fbox{Force = Mass × Acceleration }}

Substitute the known values , we get

Mass = 12/4

Mass = 3 kg

Now , the amount force required to move an object of 3 kg with acceleration of 10 m/s² is

Force = 3 × 10

Force = 30 Newton

Hence , the required value of force is 30 N
