A force of 50 dynes acts on a mass of 10 gms. What acceleration is produced by theforce ?

\huge\underline{\underline{\bf \orange{Solution-}}}

\large\underline{\underline{\sf Given:}}

  • Force (F) = 50 dynes

in Newton

\implies{\sf 1\:dyne=10^{-5}N}

\implies{\sf \pink{50\:dynes=5×10^{-4}N}}

  • Mass (m) = 10 g

\large\underline{\underline{\sf To\:Find:}}

  • Acceleration.(a)

Newton's Second Law of Motion

\large{\boxed{\bf \blue{Force(F)=ma} }}

\implies{\sf 5×10^{-4}=10×a}

\implies{\sf a = \dfrac{5×10^{-4}}{10} }

\implies{\sf a = 0.5×10^{-4} }

\implies{\bf \red{Acceleration (a )= 5×10^{-3}m/s^2 }}

\huge\underline{\underline{\bf \orange{Answer-}}}

Acceleration is produced by the force is {\bf \red{5×10^{-3}m/s^2}}.

 \huge \fcolorbox{red}{pink}{Solution :)</p><p>}

Given ,

Force = 50 dyne

Mass = 10 gram

In terms of SI unit ,

Force = 50/1 × (10)^5 N or 50 × (10)^-5 N

Mass = 1/(10)² kg or (10)^-2

Because , 1 newton = (10)^5 dyne & 1 kg = (10)³ gram

We know that ,

 \large \mathtt{ \fbox{Force = mass × acceleration }}

Substitute the known values , we get

 \sf \hookrightarrow Acceleration =  \frac{50 \times  {(10)}^{ - 5}  }{ {(10)}^{ - 2} }  \\  \\ \sf \hookrightarrow Acceleration =  50 \times  {(10)}^{ - 3}  \\  \\ \sf \hookrightarrow Acceleration =  0.050 \:  \: m/ {s}^{2}

Hence , the required value of acceleration is 0.050 m/s²
