We know that
Time of overtaking= l+L/u+U
Now ...here length of man is negligible as compared with the train...
So length of man =0
Now .... T of overtaking=125+0/4+u
So... 9= 125/4+u
Thus... 9×(4+u)=125
36+9u=125
u=9.889 km/h
So...here's your answer...

Answer:

Answer is verified from book. Answer is 54 km /hr.

Step-by-step explanation:

# Train travels in 9 sec :- 125 mete

Then this comes down into :- 13.9 meters / second.

We know, man is not stopped.

Then speed of men is => 4km/ hr = 1.1 m /second

Speed of train => ( 13.9 + 1.1 ) m /sec => 15m / sec

=> 54 km / hr
