✦ Most important thing is to make a rough diagram by the given data.

Kindly refer the attachment.

_____________

★ In the Diagram ,

  • AB [Tree] = 15feet

  • BC [Shadow] = 8feet

We have to find AC , which is distance from the tip of the tree to the tip of its shadow.

_____________

∆ABC is right angled at B.

➣ By Pythagoras Theorm :-

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤAB² + BC² = AC²

Putting values , we get...

➛ 15² + 8² = AC²

➛ 225 + 64 = AC²

➛ 289 = AC²

➛ AC = √289

∴ AC = 17 feet

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ

ㅤㅤㅤ

∴ Distance from the tip of tree to tip of its shadow is 17feet.
