H^2=A^2+B^2

which means

Hypotenuse^2=Altitude^2+Base^2

so we got the H and A

now we need to find B

so B^2=H^2-A^2

B^2=15 ^2-12^2

B^2=225-144

B^2=81

B= root of 81

which is 9

so therefore 9m is the distance of foot of the ladder from the wall
