Total distance covered by the Train = 300 + 150

= 450 m.

Initial velocity of the train = 40 m/s.

Final velocity of the train = 50 m/s.

Using the formula,

v² - u² = 2aS,

where a is the acceleration of the Train.

Substituting the value in the given equation, we will get,

(50)² - (40)² = 2a(450)

2500 - 1600 = 900a

900 = 900a

∴ a = 1 m/s².

Hence, acceleration of the train is 1 m/s².

Hope it helps.
