A 16 storey building has 12000 sq. feet on each floor. Company A rents 7 floors and company B rents 4 floors. What is the number of sq.feet of unrented floor space?

space in each floor=total area÷no.of of floors

=12000÷16

=750sq.ft for each floor

we need amount of space left so first we need how much space did the companies buy

space bought by company A=750*7

=5250

space bought by B =750*4

=3000

total space used =5250+3000

=8250

remaining space =total-bought by company

=12000-8250

=3750sq.ft
