A 16g mass moving in the +x direction at 30cm/s while a 4g mass is moving in the -x direction at 50cm/s. They collide head-on and stick together. find the velocity after collision.

so we get momentum

before collision =after collision *if we consider system)

m1 x u1 +m2+u2=m1v1 +m2v2

480gmc/sec + 200gcm/sec =l6v1+4v2

680=4(4v1+v2)

4v1 +v2 =170
