Solution:

It is given that,

a=-2 , b = -2/3 , c = -2/3

Now ,

LHS = (a+b)+c

= [-2+(-2/3)]+(-2/3)

= [-2-2/3]-2/3

= (-6-2)/3 -2/3

= (-8/3)-2/3

= (-8-2)/3

= -10/3 ----(1)

RHS = a+(b+c)

= -2+[-2/3+(-2/3)]

= -2+(-2/3-2/3)

= -2+(-4/3)

= -2- 4/3

= (-6-4)/3

= -10/3 ---(2)

(1) = (2)

Therefore,

(a+b)+c = a+(b+c)
