Given,

W= 100J, q= 2C , Va = 30V

work done by external agent equals change in electric potential energy of the charge-system.

W = B - A

=qVb - qVa

= q(Vb - Va)

100 = 2 (Vb - 30)

→ 100/2 = Vb -30

→ 50 = Vb -30

→Vb = 80V

Answer: Given

q=2C  , W=100J

Va=30V

Vb=?

W=Vq

In case of potential difference,

W=(Va-Vb)q

100=(30-Vb)2

50=30-Vb

Vb=-20V,  - sign indiacates negative potential

Vb=-20V
