Volume of well=Volume of rectangular platform

For well
r=3.5mtr
h=20mtr

For rectangle
l=22mtr
b=14mtr

→πr²h=lbh
→22/7×3.5²×20=22×14×h
→770m=308m × h
→770/308=h
→2.5mtr=h

Answer:

2.5 m

Step-by-step explanation:

Given, Depth of well h = 20 m.

Given, Diameter of well = 7 m.

Then, Radius = 3.5 m

Length of platform = 22 m and breadth = 14 m.

∴ Volume of earth dug = Volume of platform

πr²h = lbh

⇒ 22/7 * (3.5)² * 20 = 22 * 14 * h

⇒ 770 = 308 * h

⇒ h = 2.5 m.

Therefore, Height of platform = 2.5 m.

Hope it helps!
