Given

Length of the rope = 20m

Length of the pole = 10m

Force = 100N

To Find:

The force with which the pole will be pressed downwards

Solution:

Applying the formula -

Length of the pole/ Length of the rope = F/Total force

10/20 = F/100

F = 100 × 10 / 20

F = 1000/20

F = 50

Answer: The force with which the pole will be pressed downwards will be 50N.
