A 200 kg vehicle at rest attains a speed of 15 ms in a distance of 50 metres. Calculate
(i) its acceleration, (ii) the unbalanced force acting on the vehicle.

Mass (m) = 200 kg

u = 0 m/s

v = 15 m/s

s = 500 m

 2as =  {v}^{2}  -  {u}^{2}

a = \frac{  {v}^{2}  -  {u}^{2} }{2s}

 =  \frac{ {15}^{2}  - 0}{2 \times 500}

 =  \frac{225}{1000}

 = 0.225 \:  \frac{m}{ {s}^{2} }

F = ma

= 0.225 × 200 N

= 45 N
