A 20kg crate is lifted 200 m above the ground in 5 minutes. How much force is exerted on the crate?

if the crate was lifted up with a constant velocity of 200/(5*60) m/s then the force exerted on it is independent of those numbers and will only depend on its weight. because the net force is zero when moving with constant velocity. and the upward force is same as the downward weight

therefore force = 20*10 = 200 N
