A 24 volt battery is connected to an arrangement of resistances as shown in the figure calculate :
a)the effective resistance or the resistors.

=(25×10)÷(25+10) + (2×5)÷(2+5)

=250÷35 + 25 ÷7

=10.7142857143 ohm equivalent resistance

current = v ÷ r

= 24 ÷ 10.7142857143

=2.24 ampere
