Given :-

  • Length of Train = 270m .
  • Speed of Train = 40.5km/h.

To Find :-

  • How much Time it will take to cross a tree ?

Concept & Formula used :-

  • When Tree cross a Tree , distance Train cover is Equal to Length of Train .
  • To convert speed into m/s , multiply it by (5/18).
  • Time = (Distance/Speed).

Solution :-

→ Distance covered by Train = Length of Train = 270m.

→ Speed of Train = 40.5km/h = 40.5 * (5/18) = 11.25m/s.

So,

→ Time taken By Train to cross a Tree = (D / S) = (270/11.25) = 24 Seconds. (Ans.)

Hence, The Train takes 24 seconds to cross a Tree.

\huge\tt{SOLUTION:}

We can say that The distance covered by the train would be that of what it's length is

Then ,

↪Distance = 270 m

↪Speed of the train = 40.5 km/hr or 11.25 m/sec

We know that, Time = Distance/Time

Time taken by the train to cross the tree = (270/11.25) = 24 seconds
