let

x=grams of salt

then,

grams of salt ÷280ml solution ×100 = 20%

we need x value so,

x=280×20÷100

x=56 grams of salt

how much water is added?

let,

water =y

so,

56g÷(280+y)×100=14%

56×100=14(280+y)

5600=3920+14y

14y=5600-3920

14y=1680

y=1680÷14

y=120liters

120liters of water is added to make the solution 14% salt
