=>2a-b-7=0 .....(ii)

Multiplying eqn. (i) with 2.


=> 2a-4b-4=0 .....(iii)

Subtracting eqn. (ii) from (iii)
we get,
-3b+3=0
=>b=1

Now, in eqn. (i)
a-2b-2=0
=>a-2(1)-2=0
=>a=4
