A 3 cm object is placed Infront of a concave mirror and image formed is 9cm in height.what is the magnification of this object

Therefore , (-1/18) -(1/-9)= (1/v)=(1/18). Then, v=18cm.

The image is erect, virtual and positioned on the rear side of the mirror at distance f.

h(image)/h(object)= -(v/u)= (18/9)=2. This is magnification .

So, h(image)=2x h(object)=(2)(3)= 6cm
