A 3 phase induction motor is wound for 4 poles and is supplied from 50 Hz system.
Calculate (i) Synchronous speed (ii) rotor speed when slip is 4% (iii) rotor frequency
when rotor runs at 600 rpm.

The synchronous speed is directly proportional to frequency and inversely proportional to no of pole. If you decrease the no of pole the synchronous speed will increase. Lets say in your case if we decrease no of poles to 2, then the synchronous speed will be 3000 rpm.
