so your answer is 1 ohm is the new resistance

Explanation:

when the wire is doubled the length becomes L/2 and area of cross section becomes 2A so the resistance is R= p*L/A

=p*L/2/2A

=p*L*1/2*2

=1 /4 (p*L/A)

= 1/4(4)

= 1 ohm ( as 1/4 and 4 get cut) by the way it's a physics question not biology.
