a 400 metre running track has two straight sections each of length 120 metres and two semicirculars ends. calculate the total length of the c2urved sections of the track.

Total length of the straight sections =  120 m + 120 m = 240 meters
Total length of the track = 400 meters

total Length of curved sections = 400 - 240 = 160 meters

Let the radius of the semicircular arcs be R.
Their total length will be = π R + π R = 2 π R
       =>  2 π R = 160 m
        =>    R = 80/π = 25.46 meters
