Width of the lane=5m=500cm.

if 1000 bricks cost Rs. 750

then 1 brick costs 750/1000=Rs. 0.75

if total bricks used cost Rs. 49500.

then no. of bricks used

= cost of total no. of bricks used/cost of 1 brick.

= 49500/0.75=66000

therefore, 66000 bricks were used to pave the lane.

area of one brick = l×b

= 20×15

= 300cm²

area of the lane = total no. of bricks

used×area of one brick.

=66000×300

area of the lane=19800000cm²

19800000=l×b

19800000/breadth of the lane=length of the lane

19800000/500=length.

39600cm OR 396m is the length of the lane
