A (5, X), B (-4, 3) and C(y, -2) are the vertices of the ABC whose centroid is the origin. Calculate the value of x and y.

Answer:

Using centriod formula,

G (0,0)=(5-4+y/3,x+3-2/3)

=(1+y/3,x+1/3)

comparing the coordinates,

1+y/3=0 x+1/3=0

y=(-1) x=(-1)
