Step-by-step explanation:

Width of path = 50 cm

= 50/100 m

= 5/10 m

= 1/2 m

Radius of circular garden (r) = 1/2 × 8

= 4 m

Area of circular garden = πr2

=(22/7 × 4 × 4) m2

=352/7 m2

Now, Radius of circular garden including path = (1/2 + 4) m

= (1+8)/2

= 9/2 m

Area of circular garden including path = πr2

= (22/7 × 9/2 × 9/2) m2

= (11/7 × 9 × 9/2) m2

= (99/14 × 9) m2

= 891/14 m2

Area of path = (Area of circular garden including path) - (Area of circular garden)

= 891/14 - 352/7

= (891-704)/14

= 187/14 m2

= 13.3571429 m2

= 13.4 m2 (approximately)

Hope it helps
