total time = 15s
total distance=2×length of train
2×500=1000
1second distance=1000÷15=66.66
in 12s= 12×66.66=800
length of train now= 800÷2=400m

Total time = 15 sec

= total distance = 2 x length of train

=2 x 500 = 1000

=1 sec distance =1000 ÷ 15 =66.66 in 12 sec = 12 x 66.66 =800 ÷ 2 = 400 metre
