Height of the pole(in cm) 560 1050 y(say)
Length of the shadow(in cm) 320 x(say) 500
Since, height of the pole directly proportional to length of the shadow
Therefore,
560/320=1050/x
or 560x=320*1050
or x=320*1050/560
or x=600
and
560/320=y/500
or 320y=560*500
or y=560*500/320
or y=875
Therefore shadow cast by the pole=600 cm
=60m
and height of the pole=875 cm
=8m 75cm
