A 5m wide lawn is cultivated all along the outside of a rectangular plot measuring 90m by 40m.

find the total area of the lawn.

Measure of outer rectangle = length

= 90+5+5=100m.

Width = 40+5+5=50m

Area of outer rectangle = length * width

= 100 * 50
