A 600 kg rocket is set for a vertical firing.if the exhaust speed is 1000 m/s. Then calculate the mass of gas ejected per second to supply the thrust needed to overcome the weight of rocket.

F = mg = V dm/dt

dm/dt = mg/v

600 * 9.8/ 1000 = 58.6 kg/s

= 58.6 kg/s

hence, this is the answer.
