Hi ,

Edge of the big cube ( a ) = 6cm

Edge of the small cube ( s ) = 2cm

Let V , v are volumes of the two

Cubes .

Number cubes cut from big cube = n

n = V/v

n = a³/s³

n = 6³/2³

n = ( 6/2 )³

n = 3³

n = 27

Now ,

Total surface area of the

Small cube = 6s

Total surface area of 27 cubes

= 27 × 6s

= 27 × 6 × 2

= 324 sq cm

I hope this helps you.
