A fruit seller purchased some fruits in which the ratio of number of mangoes, apples and bananas is 2:4:3. He
sold two third of the total fruits in which the ratio of number of mangoes, apples and bananas is 3:4:5. What is
the ratio of number of mangoes, apples and bananas in the remaining 300 fruits?​

Explanation:

Let the purchase ratios be

Mx: Ax: Bx

2x : 4x 3x = 9x  ______(1)

He  sold two third of the total fruits  i.e 2/3(9x)= 6x

 3y: 4y : 5y = 6x _____(2)

 12y=6x

therefore, no of remaining fruits = (purchase - sold )

                                                      = (9x-6x) = 3x

3x=300

x=100

y= 600/12

y=50

put the values of x and y in eq 1 and 2

we get

  200    400   300  (purchase)

-  150     200   50    (sold)

  50      200    50   (remaining)

i.e

1:4:1
