•     $\frac{5}{7} + \frac{9}{11}$  $= \frac{5\times 11}{77} + \frac{9\times 7}{77}$

                        $= \frac{55}{77} +\frac{63}{77}$

• As both the denominators are same we can take denominator $77$ as common for both the numerators and add them .

                $\frac{55 + 63}{77} = \frac{118}{77}$

• On dividing we get ,

                          $= 1.532$

     Hence addition of given rational numbers is $\frac{118}{77}$ or $1.532$
