four years hence ages will be
(A+4) (B+4)
A+4 = 4(B+4)
A+4 = 4B+16
A-4B=16-4
A-4B =12 ......(2)
on subtracting (1) with (2)
A-6B=0
A-4B=12

A= 36
hence; A is 36 years old
B is 6 years old.
