A alloy of tin &copper of tin 30%,70% copper.to change the proportion of tin &copper in ratio of 60:40.how much tin should be mixed.​

The ratio of Zn & Cu in alloy is 3:4. Let the proportion of Zn &Cu in kg is 3x & 4x kg respectively. So 3x+4x=56,or x=56/7=8kg. The propotion of Zn in the alloy is 3×8=24 kgs & that of Cu is 56-24=32kgs.

Ans:32 kgs.
