Efficiency of A and B = 1/2x:1/3x = 3x : 2x
total wages = 3000 rs = 5x
therefore A : B = 1800: 1200

- A Alone can finish a piece of work in 10 days while B alone can do it in 15 days.
- Find the wages .....?
The wage distribution will follow the work distribution ratio, we have,
work done by A in 1 day = 1/10
work done by B in B 1 day = 1/15
net work done by (A + B) in 1 day
⟹ 1/10 + 1/15
⟹ 3 + 2 / 30
⟹ 5/30
⟹ 1/6
i.e, (A + B) will take 6 days to complete the work.
A's share of take 6 days
⟹ 1/10 ÷ 1/6
⟹ 1/10 × 6/1
⟹ 6/10
⟹ 3/5
A's wage
⟹ 3/5 × 3000
⟹ 3 × 600
⟹ 1800
Hence, the wage is 1800.
